Funerals at DCPC
The resurrection is a central doctrine of the Christian faith and shapes Christians’ attitudes and responses to the event of death. Christians do not bear bereavement in isolation but are sustained by the power of the spirit of the community of faith. The church offers a ministry of love and hope to all who grieve.
It is most appropriate that those who worship here week after week as part of the body of Christ should gather in their church to give thanks to God and to witness to the hope of the gospel at the time of death.
At the time of death, or if possible, in advance of an expected death, please notify one of the pastors or a member of the church staff, by calling the church office at 704-892-5641 so that they may offer you pastoral care, guidance and the support of the church.
