We believe that parents have the most difficult and most rewarding job on the planet. That’s why we love to partner with parents and provide encouragement, challenge, and inspiration as we work together to move kids towards a better future through making wiser choices, building stronger relationships, and developing deeper faith.

One of the best ways home and church can work together is by pursuing common values. Here are our 5 Family Values that we weave through our programming and communication and bring into focus our roles as parents:

  1. Widen the Circle (Pursue strategic relationships for your kids)
  2. Imagine the End (Focus your priorities on what matters most)
  3. Fight for the Heart (Communicate in a way that prioritizes the relationship)
  4. Create a Rhythm (Increase the quantity of quality time)
  5. Make it Personal (Put yourself first when it comes to personal growth)

And here’s what we know about you, just by the fact you clicked on this link: you want to be a better parent. Another way that we want to partner with you is by seeking out and curating good next steps that we can all take together on that journey towards better parenting. To keep it simple, we have 5 big next steps:

  1. Join the DCPC Parents Facebook Group (for daily encouragement, challenge, and inspiration)
  2. Participate in family service or missions (here’s a great list to get you started)
  3. Join a Parents Group (parent groups will resume meeting in the fall)
  4. Attend a parenting or marriage seminar (we will be sharing exciting news about seminars later this summer)
  5. Find parenting mentors (empty nesters in our congregation will be sharing some of their best wisdom this fall, stay tuned)

We are also committed to providing faithful faith-formation programming for all ages, which you can find out more about by following these links:
