Worship Services at DCPC

The Presbyterian Directory for Worship says, “In worship we acknowledge God present in this world and in our lives. As we respond to God’s claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, we are transformed, renewed, and equipped for service in the world.”

DCPC offers worship services on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Both services follow a traditional Presbyterian order of worship, which moves the congregation from Preparing for God’s Word through praise and confession; to Proclamation of God’s Word in scripture and sermon; to Response to God’s Word in prayer, offering, and service. Childcare for young children is offered at both services. Follow this link to find out about our childcare.

The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated once a month at each service. Baptism is offered to both adults and the children of believers whose parents are active in a church. To read more information about Baptism, click here.

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated the first Sunday of each month and on other special occasions. The sacrament is open to all baptized Christians of any church.

Special worship opportunities throughout the year include: Christmas Eve family and candlelight services, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, and Services for Wholeness.
