Music at DCPC

DCPC has a vibrant music ministry with opportunities for all ages and abilities to use their gifts for the glory of God. New folks are ALWAYS welcome!

Why do we make music at DCPC?

Music in Christian worship is a means of prayer, proclamation, and offering. It is in response to the goodness of God which engages one’s whole self. Our church has a music program that encompasses all ages, and its purpose is to enable and enhance the congregational song. The choirs for youth and children teach music literacy, worship traditions, and worship leadership. Handbell choirs and instrumentalists offer their talents to enhance the congregation’s worship.

What does music in worship look like at DCPC?

Our 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services include musical leadership most often by choirs, organ, and piano.  The 9:45 a.m. service is led by our Music Team and the service includes a wide variety worship music including hymns, global, and folk/bluegrass music.

How do I join a choir?

Come to a rehearsal! New faces are always welcome. If you have any questions, contact Sarah Allred, sallred@dcpc.org.
