Children In Church
Children in first grade and older are encouraged to worship with the family. We provide children’s bulletins (for readers), worship activity bags (for all ages), and worship notes (for older children) at the entrances to worship spaces. In the sanctuary, rocking chairs are provided for families with babies or sensory support. Children's tables are stocked with quiet worship support items. At the sanctuary entrance by the high-top tables, we provide a basket of sensory support items.
A comfort room (lower-level Room 13) streams each worship service on TV, providing worship for an adult while children enjoy the space. A rocking chair and a changing table are also available.
On Sunday mornings from 8:15 a.m.- Noon, childcare is provided for children ages 0-6 in the lower-level Room 14.
Information for Children
Sunday School meets at 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. September 13, 2026 through May 9, 2027.
Elementary children TK/Kindergarten through 5th grade are on the Upper Level.
Nursery through Preschool 4s are on the Lower Level.
If parents are planning to attend the 9:30 a.m. service, take children to the beginning of worship. After the Children's Moment, parents are invited to escort children to classrooms. Preschool children are welcome in childcare anytime 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Lower Level.
Milestone Faith Formation Classes
1st Grade Worship & Chalice Making Class- Sundays in January, 9:45 a.m.
2nd Grade Prayer Class- Sundays in February, 9:45 a.m.
3rd Grade Bible Class- Sundays in February, 9:45 a.m.
4th & 5th Grade Discipleship Class- Sundays in October, 5:00 p.m.
4th & 5th Grade MLK Mission Day- Monday, January 18, 2027
5th & 6th Grade Faith and Sexuality Workshop- One Saturday in March 2027, TBD
Sunday Evenings at DCPC
We offer something for all ages 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. most Sundays from September 13, 2026, through April 11, 2027. Youth Group (Grades 6-12), Grace Notes (Preschool and Elementary), Parent Groups, Adult Bible Study, and childcare.

Parents of Young Children
Connections Sunday School Class: For parents of children 5th grade and under. Meets weekly, September thru May, for fellowship, personal growth, and growth as parents.
Vision statement: Parents of young children focused on faith, family and fellowship. A variety of education, fellowship, and service opportunities are planned each quarter. Review Friday email newsletters for more information.
