We are the body of Christ...Serving
Come join us as we share the good news and share our gifts, loving our neighbors in and around Davidson. Click on the button below to find out how to donate or serve in a project today. Look through our Volunteer Opportunity booklet to find out how we are partnering with local ministries that focus in four primary areas:
Education and Child Advocacy
DCPC is involved in our community!
It's easy to become a volunteer!
Thru our partnership with Blythe elementary, we supply math and reading tutors, volunteers for student events, and support for teacher appreciation events. Contact Robert Alexander to find out more. You can also support Blythe by linking your Harris Teeter VIC card to Legette Blythe Elementary, and Harris Teeter will contribute a percentage of your purchases to the school. Click on https://www.harristeeter.com/together-in-education#/app/cms, then on Link to Your School and follow the prompts.
Believing that all persons are of equal value to God, the Community Missions Committee seeks appropriate ways for our congregation to witness to God’s love through service to people who may need assistance, with emphasis on the local and extended community. DCPC members have a long tradition of sharing our time and talents in ways that witness to God’s love.
The Davidson Career Transition Program
DCPC has joined with Davidson United Methodist Church to co-sponsor a Davidson Career Transition Program to address the needs of those in our community and congregations who have become unemployed, underemployed, or have seen their closely-owned businesses adversely affected by the economy. Volunteers assist participants with networking, resume updates, LinkedIn profiles, interview preparation, and offer negotiations. The support is delivered in workshops and via one-to-one coaching. To be added to the contact list for job opportunities and upcoming meetings, please email Jonna Eichorn at email@example.com.
Your help is needed. Do you have experience with interviewing and hiring? Are you interested in coaching others through finding a job? If so, please contact Terry Pardue.
