Renovations To Our Building
Share your thoughts or ideas about the conceptual designs as we move from concept to construction. You can do so in one of two ways. First, you can come to an information and feedback session. In-person meetings are in the Parlor on Sunday, June 19th at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday, June 22nd at 10:30 a.m.; or Sunday June 26 at 6:30 p.m. We will also have one feedback session on Zoom on June 28 from 7- 8 p.m. If you can't come to a meeting, you can also email Peter Henry with feedback. Contact Peter Henry (email@example.com) for the Zoom link or to give feedback on what we shared during the campaign..
Summer Grocery Bag Ministry Begins June 2nd!
For the ninth summer, DCPC will provide and deliver bags of groceries to families in our community who are hungry and lack easy access to food. This summer the need is greater, and we have the opportunity to help clients served by two of our mission partners, Angels & Sparrows Community Table and Caterpillar Ministries. We have committed to providing 40 bags of groceries each week, and we know that DCPC will respond with generosity and enthusiasm! CLICK HERE for the SignUp Genius to get all the details! We need to grocery buyers, sorters/loaders, and drivers! Thanks in advance for your love and generosity. Contact Catherine Bragg or Holly Frisbie with any questions.
Angels & Sparrows Monthly Service Opportunity The first Tuesday of each month a small group of 6 or so DCPC members assists in the preparing, serving, and cleaning of the lunch meal at Angels & Sparrows Kitchen in Huntersville. DCPC Reads: Finding Jesus in the Storm: The Spiritual Lives of Christians with Mental Health Challenges by John Swinton
In Finding Jesus in the Storm, John Swinton (minister in the Church of Scotland, theologian, and psychiatric nurse) makes the case for reclaiming that hope by changing the way we talk about mental health and remembering that, above all, people are people, regardless of how unconventionally they experience life.
If Finding Jesus in the Storm sounds interesting to you, we are planning on a group discussion about it in late June. To join in, click this link to let us know your interest and availability and to request a free copy of the book.
This is our Summer 2022 vbs-style event for all ages.
