"Perhaps you have come into royal dignity for just such a time as this."
Esther 4:14
Pastor Peter Henry talks about our theology of giving.
Long-time member Genny Bosak talks about the importance of our worship life .
DCPC gives us the opportunity, unlike anywhere else, to meet, worship, and serve with people of all ages. Our inter-generational community is a gift we should cherish and support, so that the ministries we all participate in remain vibrant for years to come. We are fortunate to have such a talented and generous congregation that supports one another, but also inspires and challenges us to deepen our commitment to our faith.
“For Just Such a Time as This” is the theme of this year’s DCPC stewardship campaign. This reflects our belief that our thriving, growing community of faith is one of the ways God seeks to minister to a broken and hurting world. We need hopeful, healing, and helping churches more than ever. God has given us our abundant resources for "Just Such a Time as This." Every part of our church reflects God’s abundance, from meaningful worship to life changing ministries. These ministries are made possible through the generosity of our congregation. Each gift you provide helps to extend the reach of our mission, enabling us to be a light in our community and beyond.

As you consider your level of support for the church this year, the Stewardship Committee asks you to consider stepping up your support as the average Presbyterian gift has remained the same for the last 30 years (see below) while the cost to sustain and expand our ministries have continued to rise. We ask you to give generously to DCPC to honor vital ministries and outreach efforts in our community. You are also invited to hold in prayer those who you want to be blessed by our ministries in congregational care, faith formation, community and global missions and worship.
By supporting the church and honoring important people in our lives, we will ensure that the missions of the church survive and thrive for generations to come. And most importantly, when we give generously to the church we honor Christ, who reminded us to love Him above all, but also to love and support each other and all in the community and world.

Will you take the next step in trust?
Christ promises to take care of us while we take care of others. When we step up our giving, we can trust that God will provide for our well-being. God is calling on us to open our hearts and hands—to be responsible stewards of the time, talents, and resources we hold—to help others grow in faith. In doing so, we deepen our own faith, too.
Generosity—the ability to give freely and unselfishly—comes from trusting that we have nothing to lose by doing so. Will you take the next step in trust?
Reflect on where you are on the Giving Path and where you feel called to be.

Jesus said, "What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving." Matthew 6:31, the Message version of the Bible.
